While documenting some of Toronto's classic outdoor skating rinks, designer Todd Falkowsky was inspired by the distinctive marks left behind by hockey players: blade-cut ice patterns, flecks of pucks on boards, and sliced rubber mats. In this repeating pattern, he assembles the various shapes and textures into a sophisticated, high-concept unity that evokes the spirit of play and the kinetic energy of a beloved sport.
