Description:
Artist Gabrielle Lasporte used batik - a traditional wax resist dyeing method - to create layers of splattered colour. This playful repeating pattern evokes the sensation of random leopard spots upon the wall, with the rough-hewn texture of the work's original canvas backing still visible in the image.
