Luxury amenities and modern interiors serve as the foundation of the Thompson Hotel in downtown Toronto. Drawing on the overall colour palette of the hotel branding, and the constant theme of bookshelves throughout various Thompson Hotel locations, oversized books are positioned in the main lobby area and bespoke black and white wallcoverings give the illusion of contemporary library shelves on lounge support columns. Adding further interest to the design, Rollout pulled in hand drawn sculptural bric-a-brac to also grace the shelf graphics and compliment the existing Studio GAIA wall mural. Now a source of conversation among the hotel guests and staff, this wallpaper installation exists as so much more than column camouflage.
