Alanna Cavanagh

Alanna Cavanagh is a Toronto based illustrator, surface designer, and fine artist.

Her whimsical style is simple yet sophisticated, with a playful point of view. Alanna's work has appeared on numerous surfaces, including dinnerware for the Hudson’s Bay, stationary for The Four Seasons Hotel, book covers for Penguin Books, and stamps for Canada Post.

Her silkscreen prints are a favourite amongst interior designers, and have appeared in Apartment Therapy, Canadian House + Home, and The Globe and Mail.

"My goal is to create wallpaper designs that bring a sense of whimsy and playfulness to the space. They are inspired by the charming wallcoverings produced by Saul Steinberg and Ludwig Bemelmans in the 1950s."
